Professional Portfolios

This is the culminating project for participants in ERL 605 - Literacy for the Diverse Classroom, Masters of Education program at City University of Seattle.

During the spring quarter (April-June, 2008), our work will center around the development of ePortfolios. As a participant,  you will be able to easily edit your own portfolio (including adding images and attachments) and critique the work of your colleagues.

There are five big themes for the portfolios:
1. My Evolving Philosophy
2. Helping Others Understand
3. Leadership Skills/Experience
4. Communicating with Parents/Community
5. Working with Students from Diverse Backgrounds

Each theme will follow a four-week cycle: one week to assemble a draft, a second week to review/critique others, and a third/final week to refine.  Each theme will overlap the next theme so that we are finalizing one theme while drafting the next.

The portfolios will remain password protected until they are completed.  At the end of the course, we'll make them public so you'll be able to point anyone to your final product and it won't go away when you no longer have access to Blackboard.
